Privacy
timoch.com is a personal website for posts and browser toys. This notice explains how timoch.com handles privacy choices, local storage, aggregate page-view statistics, optional analytics and advertising, and account sign-in information when you use the site.
By using timoch.com, you allow essential site operation, a browser-local record of your privacy choices, and aggregate page-view reporting. Preferences, analytics, and advertising stay off unless you allow them.
Cookies and local storage
The consent record is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. It keeps the choices you saved, when they were saved, and the consent settings version so timoch.com knows whether it should ask again.
timoch.com also uses local storage for functional settings: the selected site theme, a sanitized id for the last sign-in provider you used, and Game of Life settings when Preferences are allowed. If Preferences are rejected or turned off, stored Game of Life settings are removed. Clearing this site's browser data removes these local records; if browser storage is blocked, choices may only last for the current visit.
Cookies are used for sign-in and account protection when you use those features. That includes the browser session cookie, the antiforgery cookie used for account changes, and temporary provider sign-in cookies used during external login flows.
- Essential: Required storage keeps the site working, including the browser-local record of your privacy choices.
- Preferences: Optional browser-local settings such as Game of Life toy settings are saved only when preferences are allowed.
- Analytics: Analytics route and toy events stay off unless you allow analytics. Today those events remain inside the browser page.
- Advertising: Advertising provider scripts, personalization, and measurement are reserved for this category and stay off unless you allow advertising.
Aggregate page-view statistics
When an actual public page becomes the page presented in your browser, timoch.com sends its canonical page path to the site API. The API uses that path to add one view to that page's aggregate daily count. These counts help the operator compare which public pages are being viewed and understand broad traffic distribution.
Page-view statistics do not retain a raw view-by-view history or any visitor, account, session, cookie, browser-storage, IP-address, user-agent, referrer, query-string, fragment, campaign, or journey identity. They do not estimate unique or returning visitors. A successfully accepted report is stored only as an integer count for the page and the Europe/Brussels calendar date.
Optional analytics and advertising
timoch.com does not currently load third-party analytics or ad-network scripts. If you allow Analytics, the site can record route and toy events inside the browser page. No third-party analytics provider receives those events today.
Advertising areas on the page are reserved placements. Advertising provider scripts, personalization, and measurement stay off unless you allow Advertising.
Accounts and sign-in
If you sign in, timoch.com keeps a local account so it can authorize account pages, game features, and privileged API actions. The account data can include your display name, account status, roles, linked sign-in providers, provider account identifiers, the email address a provider shares when it shares one, and linked-provider timestamps.
The browser holds a protected sign-in session cookie. The server stores a hash of the raw session identifier with session timestamps, revocation information, and the last provider used for the session. Signing out revokes the current session.
Changing your choices
Use the Privacy options button in the site chrome to accept all, reject non-essential, or save individual choices at any time.
